Craftsmen, their talents and know-how

Our Idéematic digital agency has been in existence for 12 years, and the founders have been in the business for much longer... Our main motivation has always been to design applications that are close to the users and their needs. In other words, we've always wanted to put IT and digital technologies at the service of people. For it is human values that we are defending, their know-how and their interpersonal skills.
Craftsmen, including those in the construction industry, are a fine example of this. Their years of experience enable them to offer you their art in the service of your needs and projects. At Idéematic, we like craftsmen because they are directly involved in what can be real challenges for you.
And it's their talents that you need. That's why artisans need to be able to devote their full attention and time to your projects.

Techtime's objectives

As a business-driven agency, we began to receive requests from building professionals who couldn't find a practical solution to their simple need to answer the questions: Who, does What, for Whom, When and How. As a result, these craftsmen were spending far too much time trying to organize their site activities and interventions.

So we started from the premise that for a craftsman to be able to "improve your life", we had to simplify theirs.
That's exactly where we started from. Craftsmen need to be able to organize and monitor their activities in a very simple and practical way, so that they can concentrate on their added value: their know-how.

The "Techtime" project was born out of a desire to propose an organizational solution that would give craftsmen back the time they need to better control the production of their activities.

Expressing your needs

To succeed in this challenge, Techtime had to be designed for and with building craftsmen!
We couldn't get comfortable in the position of computer scientists imagining the software for these future users, without taking a real interest in their jobs! It seems so logical, and yet... A good designer is a humble person, who must first and foremost be able to understand their customers' needs. take an interest in people, their profession, context, issues and problems. He has to map all this out so that he can devise a strategy, the building to meet it and implement it, just like an architect. This is what we also did, in partnership with the Fédération Française du Bâtiment du 67.
In fact, we have a common lexical field in our profession.
Like craftsmen, we speak of architecture, tools, scalability (scaffolding), work, realization, mission, function, manpower, project, construction, library, columns, colors, and so on...
So the first phase was to sit down with these craftsmen, roofers, carpenters, painters, welders... and listen, understand their needs and shortcomings.
We organized needs expression workshops, during which we gradually identified all the ingredients that would make it possible to develop the functionalities of the Techtime software.

The user experience

A cleverly imagined architecture allows visitors to move freely and intuitively through its volumes. They intuitively find what they're looking for in a minimum of time. The place has been designed with him in mind, giving it practical and rewarding.
It's exactly the same with a well thought-out web or mobile application! It responds functionally and pragmatically to the purpose for which it was created. Ideally, however, it enables users not only to find what they're looking for in terms of functionality or information, for example, but also to "find what they're looking for".go further, faster and more efficiently.
Our dream is that, for these craftsmen, Techtime will become the most practical tool after the hammer!

Continuous evolution cycles

It's not the user who has to get used to his digital tool, but the application that has to follow him on a daily basis and evolve in line with his expectations.
Techtime's architecture has therefore been designed to be able to metamorphose over time, quickly and skilfully, to follow the craftsmen of today and tomorrow on a daily basis.
Techtime is not just a tool, it's a working context in which each company remains in full control of its project. Techtime makes it possible to structure the organization of their site activities and interventions, and thus to potentially become a common reference in this field.
This means that our teams of developers must remain as passionate as they are close to the craftsmen, to continue to perceive what could become for them superpowers in terms of organization and monitoring of activities and teams in the field.

Finally, while Techtime offers functionalities common to all areas of the building trade, it can also be uniquely adapted to the contexts of each area and company. New options will soon be available, and are sure to appeal to the craftsmen we value every day, in our own way!
