Techtime at CMT Industrie

Our Techtime team visited our customer CMT Industrie to discuss their business and help us meet their organizational needs.

CMT Industrie

Marc Walter is the founder of this fabulous company, whose core business is boilermaking, maintenance and industrial piping.
Boilermaking is an industrial branch that covers all activities involving the processing of sheet metals, tubes and various profiles for the industrial sector.

CMT industrie works mainly for large local companies, pharmaceutical groups, industrialists, manufacturers...

The organization of its worksites and interventions

The steps :

First, we work on the customer's 3D plans.

  • either the company receives the customer's drawings, and CMT takes over the sheet metal work, cutting, bending and all other custom work from its own drawings.
  • or the work will be based on an in-house study.

Once the design has been validated, CMT programs the various machines, cutting, plasma cutting and bending. Then it's off to the assembly, welding and painting workshops.
Finally, the whole unit is delivered and installed on the customer's premises.

Problems encountered :

Technicians work in workshops, but also directly on customer sites. For Marc Walter, the need is to know who does what, at whom, when, with whom and how. This means controlling both the process and the time spent (at the customer's site, for delivery, for welding, etc.). Of course, time and cost management are also important.

Why Techtime?

As Marc explains, his job is that of a craftsman and business manager. So it's imperative for him to free up as much time as possible for his added value and know-how. The Techtime software, in the form of a web and mobile application, helps him a great deal, as it's very easy to use.
It enables him to manage his worksites with control, efficiency and the feedback he needs.
